Science and Technology Minister Vũ Hải Quân has called for science and technology diplomacy to become a strategic tool for enhancing Việt Nam's technological autonomy, attracting global innovation resources and helping the country master critical technologies amid an increasingly competitive global landscape.

Vietnamese scientists are developing a flexible rapid-test platform capable of detecting viruses, bacteria and cancer biomarkers, in a bid to reduce reliance on imported diagnostic kits and bring more locally made products to market.
